I had a call with an inventor recently and one question changed everything... Are you thinking big enough? They came in with a solid idea. Real prototype. And they already knew exactly who they wanted to sell it to. I loved the passion behind it. You could hear in everything they said why they built it in the first place. I respected that completely. But then I had to be straight with them. That passion is why you built it. Now you need to figure out how you make money from it. The market they loved was still in the plan. We did not walk away from it. We just moved it down the list. Because there was a much bigger opportunity sitting right above it that we had not even looked at yet. Same invention. Same passion. Just a smarter place to start. That is the conversation I love having with inventors. Your emotional connection to your idea matters. And so does getting paid for it. Both can be true. Like, comment if you know an inventor who needs to hear this, including... you!
