Monday Inventor Spotlight: David "socrne1" Chaney This week, we’re bringing you a special Monday Inventor Spotlight to continue celebrating the creativity and dedication of our members. This week’s spotlight shines on David Chaney, also known as @socrne1, a former P.E. teacher turned inventor from Lafayette, LA. When the 2020 pandemic forced schools to shut down, David found himself with extra time at home, tackling projects—including painting his pool deck. Struggling with a traditional roller and extension pole, he realized there had to be a better way. After finishing the job by hand and dealing with intense forearm and wrist pain, he set out to invent a solution. That’s how the BetterGrip Paint Roller was born! Over the past few years, David has refined his patent-pending design and is now manufacturing and sharing it with the world. David is an example of how a simple frustration can lead to an innovative product that makes life easier. Let’s support him as he continues on his invention journey! 📌 Follow David and check out his invention here: https://app.inventorsmart.com/profile/1132 David, we’re excited to see how the BetterGrip Paint Roller makes an impact—keep inventing! ✨ Want to be featured in the Inventor Spotlight?
