Sunday Spotlight: Inventor Spotlight This week, we’re excited to feature a Premium Insider and inventor whose journey from military service to entrepreneurship has inspired innovation in fitness. Meet @chris.ix, founder of Fitnix LLC and creator of the Olympus Grip. Origin Story "There I was, running in the desert with my dog Colby..." That’s how Chris’s story begins. After his time in the US Army and graduating from UVA’s Darden Graduate School, Chris moved to Nevada with his wife, embracing a new chapter filled with work, family, and fitness challenges. But marathon running alone wasn't keeping him in shape. Chris wanted an upper-body workout he could integrate into his runs, and, finding no solution on the market, he invented one himself: the Olympus Grip. Proven Effective To put his invention to the test, Chris set up a 90-day fitness challenge. He committed to: 1. Only using the Olympus Grip during workouts. 2. No diet changes or supplements. 3. Keeping workouts to a max of 45 minutes daily. The results? Not only did the Olympus Grip improve his strength, but it also helped alleviate chronic wrist and elbow pain. A week after the challenge, Chris competed in two Spartan Obstacle Course Races, finishing in the top tier of his age group and qualifying for the Spartan North American Championships. The Olympus Grip became his ultimate fitness tool. Join the Community Chris’s journey with the Olympus Grip shows the power of innovation in fitness.
